Carlton is located at the 22 mile post in the Methow Valley, on Highway 153, also known to travelors as the Washington State Cascade Loop Highway. Less than an hour north of Lake Chelan, Carlton poses as your base camp for your fly fishing adventures allowing you the freedom to work the pristine waters up and down river with all your food, grocery, fuel, on the road neccesities and of course, The Methow River Fly Shop.
The majestic Methow River provides an array of fantastic rainbow, bull, white, brown and cut throat trout fishing starting June 1 till early fall...then shortly after, its steel head season till March 31 (check our website for specific Wa. State Fish & Wildlife opening and closing dates and seasonal regulations). Locals and seasoned fishers alike refer to the Methow River steel head fishing as some of the best in all of the greater Northwest.
